Technology has changed all aspects of American life.  Advancements created to help us to be more efficient have in fact caused stress and discord as a result of being “tethered”.  Sojourn Lodge was created as a place to step away from the busyness of life.  Located on 78+ acres of hardwood timberland, we invite you to “sojourn in this land” and be blessed with peace of mind and tranquility.

Our Story

They say “age comes with wisdom…” and we have to agree.  Life is finite. Mark and I realized a long time ago that we didn’t want to spend our lives tethered to an office with no end in sight.  We loved our time away from the city.  For 5 years we prayed and searched for our perfect place to disappear. When God opened this door, we stepped through it.

Susan Anderson

Founder

Born as a military brat who traveled the globe, Susan’s world consisted of military bases and cities.  Meeting Mark changed her world and opened her eyes to what lies beyond city limits.

Mark Anderson

Cofounder

Born and raised on the Red River in Bossier City, Louisiana, you could always find Mark roaming the muddy banks, hunting wildlife or just enjoying the seclusion of the wilderness in his backyard.
